We've Moved!

Despite the snow and ice on the morning of January 16, 2007 the scheduled move of the North Marion County Communications Center [NORCOM 911] continued as planned.

On January 16 th the North Marion County Communications Center [NORCOM 911] moved their operations to their new facility located at the Woodburn Police Department at 1060 Mt Hood Ave.

NORCOM vacated the basement of the Woodburn City Hall building on Tuesday, January 16 th at 3:00 p.m. The NORCOM 911 Center moved temporarily all 911 Answering and Police/Fire/Ambulance Dispatch Services to their back up site location at Woodburn Fire District headquarters station. Full Operations continued at the back up site at Woodburn Fire District for 14 hours. Just prior to 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17 th all 911 Calls and Radio Dispatching was then transferred to the new NORCOM Facility at 1060 Mt Hood Ave.

“With the aid of our professional staff, the move was a smooth transition while providing the community quality and professional service throughout the move.” Said Gina Audritsh, Director for the Agency.

NORCOM 911 provides 911 Call answering service and police/fire/ambulance dispatch service to 13 public safety agencies and 19 communities. The center provides 911 call answering to over 74,000 people in the Northern Marion County area. In the year 2006; the Agency answered over 129,000 calls for service.
